Companion Planting & Plant Friendships
Students discover that plants have best friends (and a few frenemies). Through hands-on matching games and guided garden design challenges, they learn how marigolds deter pests, basil helps tomatoes grow, and why certain crops should never be planted side by side. Students build their own “dream garden bed” using companion plant and trap crop rules and learn how ecosystems can be arranged thoughtfully for natural balance and pest/ disease prevention.
